Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Connection Cards ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Connection Cards is a relationship conversation app that provides emotionally safe, consent-forward prompts to help couples and individuals have meaningful conversations. The App generates conversation starters based on your preferences and settings.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Intended Use

The App is designed to facilitate healthy communication in relationships. It is NOT intended to:

  • Provide professional counseling or therapy
  • Diagnose relationship issues
  • Replace professional mental health services
  • Provide legal or medical advice

Mental Health Disclaimer (Reveal Feature)

Connection Cards includes a "Reveal" feature that provides conversation starters about topics including mental health, depression, anxiety, grief, and other life experiences. This feature is designed to help normalize conversations about difficult topics.

THIS APP IS NOT:

  • A substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or counseling
  • A crisis intervention or suicide prevention service
  • A diagnostic tool for any mental health condition
  • Medical advice or treatment of any kind

If you or someone you know is in crisis or experiencing thoughts of suicide, please contact a mental health professional, call emergency services, or reach out to a crisis helpline in your country.

By using this app, you acknowledge that:

  1. You are using conversation prompts at your own discretion
  2. The app does not provide professional mental health support
  3. You are responsible for your own wellbeing and that of those you converse with
  4. You should seek professional help for mental health concerns

User Responsibilities

When using the App, you agree to:

  • Use prompts consensually with your partner(s)
  • Respect boundaries set during conversations
  • Not use the App for any harmful or illegal purpose
  • Take responsibility for conversations that arise from prompts

Consent and Safety

The App includes consent gates and safety features. You acknowledge that:

  • All participants in a conversation should consent
  • Either party can pass on any prompt at any time
  • The App does not monitor or moderate your actual conversations
  • You are responsible for maintaining safe communication practices

Custom-Printed Decks (Connection Cards Shop)

Connection Cards offers custom-printed physical decks through shop.connectioncards.app. Because each deck is printed to order with the content you configure, the following terms apply in addition to the general terms above. The full customer-facing return and reprint policy is available on our Returns & Reprints page.

Customer Approval Gate

Before we produce your deck, you must review a preview of the final deck content and click the approval button at checkout. By clicking "Approve" (or any substantively equivalent label) and completing payment, you:

  • Represent that you have reviewed all prompts, card content, and layout shown in the preview
  • Authorize us to produce the deck using the exact content you approved
  • Agree that the approved preview constitutes the final specification for your order

We record the timestamp and IP address associated with your approval click as evidence of authorization. Production cannot begin until this approval is on file.

Production Timing

Approved orders enter a brief internal processing queue before they are released to our print partner. Orders remain cancelable during this internal processing window; once your order has been released to production, no cancellations, modifications, or refunds are available. We do not publish a fixed countdown for this window because it is an internal operational detail and may vary; the practical effect is that you should contact us immediately at support@connectioncards.app if you need to cancel, and we will do our best to intercept the order before it enters production.

No Refunds After Production Begins

Because custom-printed decks cannot be resold or reused, and because our print partner charges us for each printed deck, we do not offer refunds or cancellations once an order has entered production. This includes situations where you change your mind, notice a typo in the approved content, or request a different configuration after approval. This policy matches standard practice across the custom-print-on-demand industry.

What We Reprint For

We will reprint and reship your deck at no additional cost if any of the following apply:

  • Manufacturing defects, including misprints, miscut cards, or poor print quality
  • Physical damage sustained in shipping
  • Missing cards or other components that should have been included
  • Packages lost in transit that do not reach the confirmed shipping address

To request a reprint, submit the claim form at shop.connectioncards.app/support/claim within 30 days of delivery (or, for lost packages, within 45 days of the original ship date). Photos of the issue help us process replacements faster and may be required for damage claims. Reprint eligibility is at our reasonable discretion, in line with the coverage provided by our print partner.

What We Don't Reprint For

We are not able to reprint or refund orders for:

  • Content you approved during the preview step and later want to change
  • Typos or errors in prompts, names, or other text that passed your review
  • Changes of mind after production begins
  • Lost or stolen packages after carrier confirmation of delivery

Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Connection Cards and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific relationship needs. Use of the App is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connection Cards shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to relationship outcomes, emotional distress, or communication difficulties.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
